RESULTS:

•  Client wanted a quick way to go from a sales quote done in Excel to a SolidWorks sales drawing, with as little manual work as possible, and re-using existing SolidWorks data.  As such, an excel sheet reads the sales excel bought in all the required information.  Then through a series of sheets, and automated calculations, default sizes are automatically picked.  The engineering department can then over-ride any default decision or adjust variables for a better fitting.  This excel sheet then either spits out text files or populated a SolidWork design table.
• SolidWorks file sets were then designed in such a way as to read text file variables, and pass on variables to the appropriate part, and re-build correctly and with accuracy.
